3.2 Order Acceptance: Your order constitutes an offer to purchase Products from us. All orders are subject to our acceptance, and we reserve the right to refuse or cancel any order for any reason, including but not limited to product availability, errors in pricing or product information, or suspected fraud.
3.3 Pricing: All prices are listed in South African Rand (ZAR), British Pound, or US dollar as the user selects, and include VAT unless otherwise stated. We reserve the right to change prices at any time without prior notice. The price charged will be the price in effect at the time your order is placed.
3.4 Payment: Payment for Products must be made in full when placing an order. We accept payment via credit/debit cards, EFT, and other payment methods as indicated on the Website. By providing payment information, you represent and warrant that you are authorised to use the payment method.
3.5 Order Confirmation: Once your order is placed, you will receive an order confirmation email. This email acknowledges that we have received your order but does not constitute acceptance of your order.
3.6 Shipping and Delivery: We offer delivery of Products both within South Africa and internationally. While we strive to meet estimated delivery times, these are provided as guidelines only and are not guaranteed. We are not liable for any delivery delays. The risk of loss or damage to the Products transfers to you upon delivery
3.7 International Orders: We ship to a range of international destinations. Please note that international orders may be subject to additional customs duties, taxes, and fees, which are the recipient’s responsibility. Delivery times for international shipments may vary depending on the destination and customs processes. Additionally, please note that when ordering from The Old’e English Shaving Shop, the recipient is considered the importer of record and must comply with all laws and regulations of the country in which the goods are received.
4. Returns and Refunds
4.1 Product Returns: We strive to deliver the Goods to you as swiftly as possible and no later than 30 (thirty) days from the date of receipt of your payment (“Delivery Period”). We will notify you promptly if we cannot deliver the Goods within this Delivery Period. Upon receiving such notification, you may, within 7 (seven) days, choose either to proceed with your order or to cancel it. We will refund you the total purchase price if you decide to cancel.
The Company reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to accept order cancellations on a case-by-case basis, provided sufficient cause is demonstrated. The relevant refund and return provisions outlined in this clause will apply in such instances.
As a consumer, you are entitled, under Section 44 of the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act 25 of 2002 (“ECT Act”), to cancel your order for the Goods within 7 (seven) days of receipt, without reason and without penalty, to obtain a full refund of the purchase price.
In the event of such a cancellation:
- You agree not to use the Goods;
- You must return the Goods in their original, unused condition, with intact packaging and unbroken seals;
- The purchase agreement will be considered cancelled, and
- You will bear the direct costs of returning the Goods, such as courier or shipping charges, and you will assume the risks associated with the return shipment in accordance with Section 44(2) of the ECT Act.
4.2 Digital Vouchers:
Digital Vouchers purchased on The Old’e English Shaving Shop website (“Vouchers”) are subject to the following refund policy.
By purchasing a Voucher, you agree to the terms outlined in this refund policy, which apply specifically to the redemption and refund of Digital Vouchers.
Eligibility for Refunds
Vouchers are generally non-refundable. However, refunds may be considered in the following exceptional circumstances:
- Error in Purchase: If the Voucher was purchased in error and has not yet been redeemed, you may request a refund within 7 (seven) days of the purchase date.
- Non-delivery of Voucher: If the Voucher was not delivered to the recipient due to a technical issue, you may request a reissue or a refund.
To be eligible for a refund under these conditions, you must contact us at admin@englishshavingshop.com within the specified time frame, providing proof of purchase and a detailed explanation of the issue.
Conditions for Refunds
- Refunds for Vouchers will only be issued if the Voucher has not been redeemed or partially used.
- The refund amount will be the original purchase price of the Voucher minus any transaction fees or processing charges, if applicable.
- Refunds will be processed using the original payment method within 14 (fourteen) business days of your refund request being approved.
Non-Refundable Situations
Vouchers cannot be refunded in the following situations:
- The Voucher has been redeemed or partially used.
- The Voucher has expired.
- The request for a refund is made after the 7 (seven) day period from the date of purchase.
- The Voucher was purchased as part of a promotional offer or discount, where refunds are explicitly excluded.
The Company reserves the right to refuse any refund request that does not meet the eligibility criteria or conditions outlined in this policy.
Redemption and Expiry
- Vouchers must be redeemed in full on a single purchase and cannot be split across multiple transactions unless otherwise stated.
- Vouchers have an expiry date, which is clearly indicated at the time of purchase. After the expiry date, the Voucher will be void, and any remaining balance will be forfeited.
5. Right to Return Defective Goods
In accordance with Clause 4 above, goods may be returned only if they are defective or damaged. For the purposes of these Terms, any such goods will be referred to as “defective.” Defective goods may be returned within 1 (one) month of delivery without penalty, subject to compliance with the return procedure outlined below.

To have a Product deemed defective, you must provide a valid reason for the return, accompanied by a detailed explanation of the alleged defect, including photographic evidence. Any defects in the Product must be reported as soon as they are discovered.
Once all return conditions have been met, the purchase agreement will be considered cancelled on the date the Company receives the returned items. Please adhere to the returns procedure to avoid the automatic rejection of any refund request.
All returns are subject to final authorisation and confirmation by the Company and must be pre-approved by the Company. If the return conditions are satisfied and the return is approved, the Company will notify you and arrange for our couriers to collect the defective item from you.
If the Product is determined not to be defective or damaged, you will not be entitled to a replacement or refund. Instead, you will be responsible for the costs incurred in returning the Product to the Company and for its subsequent redelivery to you.
Nothing in this clause or these Terms and Conditions shall limit your rights under Section 56, read together with Section 55, of the CPA.
IMPORTANT: We cannot take back for credit any of the following products unless they are faulty or not as described:
- Cosmetics (including grooming, hair, and skin products)
- Fragrances
- Custom Engraved Items
- Sample or once-off special items
- Delivery Charges
- Item/s not used for intended purposes
- Shaving brushes, shaving blades and hair brushes (Due to hygienic and safety reasons, we cannot accept returns or offer refunds. All sales of razors are final)
6. Intellectual Property
6.1 Ownership: All content on the Website, including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, images, videos, and software, is the property of The Old’e English Shaving Shop or its content suppliers and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.
6.2 License: We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access and use the Website and its content for personal, non-commercial use only. You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, create derivative works from, or otherwise exploit any content on the Website without our prior written consent.

7. Limitation of Liability

The arbitration shall occur in Cape Town, South Africa, and be conducted in English. The arbitrator’s decision shall be final and binding and may be entered as a judgment in any court of competent jurisdiction.
10.3 Class Action Waiver: You agree that any dispute resolution proceedings will be conducted only on an individual basis and not as a class, consolidated, or representative action.
